Nothing exciting happened with Nadeen. She just bolted and my knee hit the rail - I already have arthritis in that knee so it continues to hurt. Today has been much better - we practiced yoga with some of the horses and I really am looking forward to tomorrow. I practiced yoga on Spike and I am sore from all of the stretching!
Going to finish typing some notes for tomorrow.

oh what a long day
hi everybody. Such a long day today. Thanks to Linds and Mad for all your help - I couldn't do it without you guys.
I am going to not complain, but today was frustrating and exhausting. The horses were all pretty wonderful except Denver. Sorry Abby.
Tomorrow only two lessons and then I will be completely focused on preparing for yoga on Sunday. I need to channel some positive energy. My knee hurts from the little Nadeen incident and I am very nervous to be the barn manager for ten days.
I love spike. I LOVE spike! He gets me through even the toughest days. The Dispatch is coming to watch yoga. The reporter is super friendly and likes horses, so it should be fun and not too stressful. Her name is Lisa, so introduce yourselves!

NO ROOSTERS!

No roosters! Don't worry, Just chickens with nice eggs for breakfast. And a pony or draft. I want a pony or draft horse, so let me know if you all come across any. YOUNG and healthy - I can break. Just young and healthy.
SO MANY HORSES IN TRAINING! I am in HEAVEN!
Let's see: Monty, Prince, Kut and DIamond, The Lovely Nadeen, Sunni, and of course Cursive and Spike when I have time to work with them. Spike keeps throwing shoes. The farrier is going to kill me. I love our farrier - Dale. Dale is the best farrier in the world. I kind of have a crush on him too. I just want him to talk hooves to me all day.
The move was fantastic - paying movers is always a good idea. Best money I have spent in a long time.
Thank you to everyone (Jezzie, Rocky, Shawnna, Brian, Abby, Alicia and all of you) who were so kind to offer your help with the move. We are very happy and LOVE the new house. Please come visit - only five minutes from Harvest Moon!
More soon, but call me if you want to get in touch with me because I am only able to check mail once per day until time warner comes to set up the wireless.

Camp, moving, etc
So it is me and the dogs moving again, but this time we have decided to take the boyfriend with us. We are all packing and getting very excited about moving to the country. I am already planning my chicken village and goat in the yard. Camp has been lovely and the kids have exceeded all of my expectations. I just adore all of them. I will be moving Saturday and Sunday and just going to the barn to greet our new training horse, Monty. Monday, I will be back to work as usual and I am preparing for yoga on horseback and I will be riding or working with each of the training horses daily.
I am kind of going to miss columbus a little bit. What I surprise. I have only lived here and Bellefontaine, and now I am going to be living in between those two places. I am not sure if this is a step forward for me or not. But I am happy with my work for the first time since I left the equine world and I am going to give it everything in me and cross my fingers.
What I will miss about Columbus: my house, good food nearby, the co-op, food, city water, my bird friends, restaurants, the jo, all of the memories of this house - I can't believe I got rid of the parrots! School. But wait, Kristen, I tell myself, you aren't moving away. You are moving to Marysville. now basically a Columbus burb.
My horse is making me angry and frustrated although he is completely adorable and kind. But he is the most uncomfortable horse I have ever ridden and that is saying quite a lot. Someone who has experience with OTTBs, I need help!
But I love Cursive, the other grey horse that is for sale. Whoever gets her is going to be VERY lucky.
okay, back to packing...I will take pictures of my house. I am actually going to be living on a street called SR 36.

I am moving!!! pics of two of my siblings and the dogs

Hey everyone,
I am moving 5 minutes from the barn on Rt. 36 just before Whitestone Rd. I am looking forward to lots of gatherings, company, and sleepovers. My house is big and the back yard is HUGE! I will post pictures soon. I am hiring movers to do the heavy stuff, but I would love to have help unpacking and decorating. Moving day is next Sunday, and packing on Saturday, so I will be away from the barn most of the weekend, but I would enjoy any visitors.
I will post the address soon, but I can't remember it. Does anyone know of any cheap movers?
More of me and my pony

Spike and Kristen

Here are some pictures of my sweet boy Spike. He is a 4 y/o off-the-track thoroughbred that I purchased a little over a month ago. He is my special project horse and he is a big baby! I hope to do some eventing and show jumping with him in the future. His back is still sore because he has never carried more than 100 pounds on his back before I got him, but he is doing fantastic.
