More great pictures of Blues Creek - the indoor arena is HUGE! I am so excited to see Craig's new horse, Sassy, who arrives tomorrow. I wonder if Luke will remember her?

Overall, things are busy and exciting. The people who own and run the barn are so nice and accomodating - I think we overwhelmed them a bit last weekend! Looking forward to a winter full and warming up in the saloon after every ride!

The families meet....

Marc's mom and step-father (Esther and Bill) came to town for the weekend to meet the horses and more importantly, to meet my family. We had a great time - this is the first relationship I have EVER been in where the families meet and it went so well. Esther gave my mom a lovely scarf and we went out to dinner last night and to my sister Maddie's birthday party today. I had a nice weekend mostly away from the barn but I missed my new pony. Back to lessons and training this week and looking forward to pumpkin picking - my birthday is on the way!

More pics of Luke

Well, here are a couple more pictures of Luke and me. He is an un-started, 6-y/o, 3/4 thoroughbred who I purchased from a dressage trainer in Bucyrus. I am already crazy about him - he has such a great personality! Putting the saddle on today, so we'll see how it goes.

In other news, Spike is doing great and I actually think I am going to be able to sell him - yes, SELL him! After consulting with our vet and working him the past three days, we think he will be perfect for a light youth or adult intermediate to advanced rider. We are going to have some additional tests done on him just to be sure, but he looks pretty good!

Somebody better buy this horse...she is such a good girl. Only a couple of months off the track and competing in over-fences classes. She got second in one of them and first in the other.
